Recommendations for break away controls and hand guards?
What are your recommendations for break away controls and hand guards?
I was out today and bit the desert. The Asterisk knee brace (for the second time) saved my knee. Anyway, I snapped the front brake lever off. I had to ride back with no front brake. My rear brake sucks. I think I need to bleed the system. The rear break just doesn't compare to the stopping power of the 280 mm EBC rotor.
So, now I am looking to add hand guards and breakaway controls. So far, I was looking at the Sunline V-1 MDX Levers. Not sure on the hand guards, but they would have to have a downward bend to protect the control.
So what are your recommendations good and bad?
Thx,
Aurora

Not for the Dez
That HDB stuff seems a little heavy and excessive for the Dez. I like his switches alot though.
As far as levers go I'd suggest subscribing to Motocross Action magazine and go with their recommendations. MXA is the most reliable and honest IMHO. I posted on here recently about folding rear brake tips and what not.
There's also a workaround to use a CRF setup that does away with the reservoir. requires a custom hose.

Just had a look at their range and I like! They have some really cool stuff.
I wouldn't mind a set of their Billet Hand Guards and comp. protector.
