Selfmade cockpit for a trailtech vapor
I found a piece of plastic @ work and i had an idea
i made it like this only thing left is the wiring for all
what yall think about it?
i think its great
tomorow i need to make the new chain fit then im able to ride the brp again but now in sm mode with sprockets 14-51 (before 14-50)

I like it but...It's missing the oil slick and smoke screen switches.

Rikco is that Trail Tech Vapor that they have on ebay for 98 US dollars? I couldn't see the pics, file was too big? can you send some pics to my e mail?

yes its the trail tech vapor + the single dashbord from e-bay.
dunno exactly what i payd but it was close to 150 dollar for all. (vapor + dash)

Nice Job! so you use the Vapor as a odometer? did you have the stator conversion? how many watts 250? I see that you have a 12Volt outlet like the one in the cars, is it? How did you do the wiring, was it hard? I am not that good at complicated wiring diagrams but I want to do mine. How much did you spend doing all the dual conversion kit? Please do you have a list what I need to buy?

no other stator then the original 75watt (european model) a 250watt i never seen for the xrr, max stator output is a 200watt as far i know.
my piggy was already factory made for dual sport so i did nothing else then add some small blinkers, led tail&brake light and the vapor and 2 12volt car connectors.(1 you cant see)
wired it from inside the headlight switch and with the headlight off i still got 12volt power on that cable.
here you can see the vapor, this was the first ride when the snow was gone 2 months ago so nothing special (gearing 13/52 )

dunno anymore where i got the key switch from, it didn't come with the vapor but on e-bay there are enough on/off key switches that works the same.

My bike when the PO bought it from the Dealer they fit it for the street as a dual purpose so that's mean may be mine is already with a factory stator? how do you know how many watts is coming out of my bike stator? any way to measure it?

Yo Guys,
regarding the keyswitch (ignition switch) following.
I also bought one, nice to have, prevents thieves from a quick getaway. But, this switch is a single contact only, meaning you can switch 1 circuit only, and my plan was the ignition.
If you've got a battery (a DC system) then you've got a problem, all will still work until the battery is empty, you don't want this. So I found a dual-circuit keyswitch, which kills the ignition as well as the DC-circuit, meaning the bike is really 'off' when the key is out - which I presume you want! So no fiddly system with a relay required or why, just a single key which does all.
I'll look for the link once at home, but Google should be your friend.
