Better Electrical Connectors Empty Better Electrical Connectors

If you are installing wiring on your bike consider these connectors. They are made for RC aircraft and are extremely reliable, easy to connect and disconnect, can take high loads and they are very solid. WAY better than the cheap automotive style connectors that you buy at napa, shucks, ect. I just installed my 200W Ricky Stator and used these connectors to replace the ones that came on the stator assy, wires going to the lights, switches, ect ect. When you are in the middle of know where it pays to have solid electrical connections.

These are the connectors, available at any Hobby Shop.

Here they are out of the bag. They are solder on connections.

Very nice! Your attention to detail is second to none.

The Dean's Ultra connectors are another super reliable R/C connector. They are a PIA to solder, though.

They are $2.99 per pack and you get three connections per pack. Not to bad when you compare them to the crapy automotive connectors at your local auto store.

Thanks, I really have nasty wiring. Yeah the Deans connectors are a great unit also, I run them on most of my lipo packs, they are a paint to solder though like you mentioned and a little bulky.

For all low current applications (indicators, harness etc) OEM style bullet connectors can be obtained from Easter Beaver Trading at the following address -
http://easternbeaver.com/Main/Elec__Products/Connectors/Bullet_Connectors/body_bullet_connectors.html
These connectors require the correct roll over crimp tool as they anchor through the insulation as well as crimp over the wire strands (as per original style connectors).
Think they may be available from EB Trading as well.

I was considering this kit: http://www.trailtech.net/crimp_kit.html

But the stuff doesn't look that great. Plus I'd rather have solders than crimps.
