Hotcams Stage One
I found one at a gimme price so I decided to try it. My 2000 has a e-brock carb, drilled side cover, a white bros e2 & a FMF headpipe. The change is not dramatic, extreme low end torque, I had a very slight loss, midrange is noticably stronger & there is a little more top end. The bike starts 1st kick, I have no issues with the decompressor being gone. I'm a medium rider and mostly trail ride. I wish I would've done a drag race before & after with an stock XR for a base line. Where I notice the improvement is in deep sand & gravel, especially in 4th & 5th gear. It's not the best money I spent on the bike, but I like it.

You lost your decomp with a Stage 1? Mine still has the decomp.4play wrote:I found one at a gimme price so I decided to try it. Yours is the 1st Hotcams that I've heard of with the auto decompressor. Actually, not having one is one of the reasons I put it in.

Oh, . I thought you meant the manual decomp. I have no idea whether I have auto-decomp or not.4play wrote:Yours is the 1st Hotcams that I've heard of with the auto decompressor. Actually, not having one is one of the reasons I put it in.
