Hello xr650r forum my name is Tom. I just picked up a 2000 xr650r she has a solid motor but needs some love and TLC to get her reliable and solid. I rode her yesterday for about 80 miles (30 pavement and about 50 dirt) and she handled the journey well.

It has a Baja designs dual sport kit and an oversized tank but other than that it is pretty much stock. I just ordered an xr only pipe, xr only skid plate, a gpr upper triple clamp and stabilizer with renthal bars. I want to go through her from tip to tail clean her up and make logical improvements. I just found this forum and look forward to scanning through it to find improvement and maintenance tips, end hopefully some tech support when needed. You guys have some nice looking bike from what little I have seen so far.
