It is, most of the bike in fact.
Mounting a correctly rated spring for you though (you're sending git out don't you?) would be a good idea, ditto doing the Borynack mod.

Don't have time for Borynack mod...maybe next time. "git"?

git = it, speling iz nod my forte it seems
I have done zilch at the rear yet, so I am the last to tell you different - but a friend of mine only did his shock recently, and regrets now that he didn't do it as his first mod!

You mean changing shims and spring as sheet? Or gold valve too? What setup did your friend go for?

Re: Rear Shock...from 2000 to 2007
He did the Borynack mods front & rear.
The front involves drilling 2 (out of 4) holes bigger, different shims & thinner oil (2.5 weight if memory serves well).
The shock is shimmed different, quite so actually, and I can't remember drilling of anything. As said, especially the shock makes a huge diff apparently.
If Borynack's site is inactive (it sometimes it) then I can mail you the info, just holler
Oh (edited), if you still have the original fork-oil in, nicknamed "whale snot", then replacing only this with real forkoil is already a good improvement. But, flush the forks quite well to get all the snot out, and check for rust inside as also this is not too uncommon to find!
