How much nitrogen on rear shock ?
Hello everybody
I hesitate to prepare my suspension by a professionnal.
But for the moment maybe I would just rehabilitate my rear shock absorber
I make supermoto on track only.
I have already remade my fork last year
For the shock I can't find how much need for nitrogen inside?
If someone have already make a rehabilitation and have advice it's could be great
Great ride and happy new year for all

Re: How much nitrogen on rear shock ?
From internet so no guarantee...
"The 650R rear shock can accept pressures up to 250psi in the desert - I run 200 with the 10.5kg spring bc the spring is too strong for me but the 200 helps reduce the rebound. Otherwise I would use 230 if I weighed 30lbs more. Obviously low oil viscosity contributes to the leak. "

Re: How much nitrogen on rear shock ?
Someone on this very forum mentions a book value of 142P.S.I.
IIRC, I put 150 P.SI. in mine when I rebuilt it

Re: How much nitrogen on rear shock ?
I've found the information on the shop manual.
The rear shock need :
981 kPa (1O kgf/cm2) of nitrogen
So 142 PSI
For the oil they said 'fork oil' ...
Fork capacity : 637 cm3
Fork level : 120 mm
I've found an other technical file.
They said SAE 5W.
I've put 10W, but for a harder suspension maybe 20W no ?
Kayaba is apparently very good. A guy who work for Ohlins had said this on a forum like a lot of members.
