Crank counterbalance gear removal

Anyone know the best way to remove the counterbalance gear from the crank?

My crank is already in two halves (cut through the conrod and pin). The pin is pressed out the one half but the gear on the other side is a problem.

two meathods- get a bearing seporater, this can be tricky to use if the cog is very close to the crank, - make up two pieces of flat bar with holes drilled so that the bars can be used to pull the cog off shaft, like a harmonic balancer puller
