1st Gear
How short is your 1st gear?
Mine reminds me of the granny-low gear from the T-18 that was in my '79 CJ-7.
I'm out of 1st in what seems like 30 feet!

Re: 1st Gear
Don't use 1st much always pop in to second and pull away....13~50 gearing helps.... can even pull away in 5th without to much effort

13/47 dirt trail riding
14/47 dirt street mix with luggage
15/47 supermoto
they all run on a 110 link chain.

Re: 1st Gear
If our bike has a shortcoming at all it is the gearbox, the lack of spacing that is.
An English outfit makes, or made, a 6-speed gearbox for it - spaced wider if not according to the wish of the buyer.
Does anyone reading here have it, and if so, what's it like?

Re: 1st Gear
I'm not aware of any aftermarket gears sets for the XRR. Very interested if there is. One guy on Adventure Rider was working on trying to adapt the gears from a TRX700XX atv, but I don't think he's made any recent progress...
