15/38 sprockets
I needed new sprockets/chain for my BRP so went ahead and ordered a kit that included a 14/48 and gold x-ring chain, I had 14/45 (the guy I bought it from had that on it). I also bought a 15 front sprocket so I could do 15/48 (equivalent to the 14/45) and then looked around at other sprockets and found a 38 for $20 and figured I had to just to see and also for just around town and highway and then I'd put the 45 or 48 back on for actual dirt riding. So I just finished chopping my old chain down to the size of the 15/38 (so I can use the new chain for the 15/48). I did a little around town riding and hopped on the highway, it cruises 65 at around 4300-4400 rpm which is of course a huge improvement. I'm excited to get out to a dry lake bed and test out the top speed of this 15/38, I'm thinking I could hit 115-120mph. I'll probably leave the 38 on their until my next ride then switch to the 45 or 48 and just hang the 38 on the wall to maybe never get used again. I'm just excited to try the top speed out, then I can go back to normal gearing so I'm not tempted to try again, haha.
