If you lay the bike on its side you should be fine.
Make sure that you reseal the casing before lifting the bike back up for any reason.

Darnit Hew,
who gave you the right to be clever hmm?
He's quite right though, dump it on its side, a mattress will help wonders here.
But why?
Drain the oil and put fresh in, it's only 2 litres, and the Piggie will love you for it. Oh, new filter too eh, and when the clutch is out do not forget to check the mesh/sieve behind it!

On your clutch bush, you know this likely (for your year-model) has to be upgraded, a different part than what was installed?
Probably... and you can see/recognize the 'new/improved' part by spotting some grooves/machined indentations (my English may be lacking here?) in the bush's inner surface / the actual bearing surface. If this surface is smooth then it's the old/wrong one, replace it.
