indicators and headlight need help
Hi, recently got my 650r, i want to wire a headlight and indicators up
all whats on it is:
a kill switch
a rectifier
cdi
rear brake switch
a horn (wired up but dosent work)
Then a few wires going to nothing, so witch is headlight, indicator, and brake light?
should there be a battery? as it looks like theres no room for one
so i take it i will need a relay? but how i wire this?
any help will be greatly apreciated

Re: indicators and headlight need help
No battery, you have AC from stator going to a regulator under the seat....if you have a UK/EU bike there should also be a rectifier behind the headlight providing DC for the horn. indicators, light etc.
I can send you a wiring diagram it's a poor quality scan but might help ?

No mate, no rectifier behind the headlight, just a few plugs and various single wires, you got a pic of one?

Ol' Maus',
you're sure the light on the UK(OZ) version runs off DC?
I thought only the necessary stuff (hooter, indicators) ran off DC, but by all means correct me...
Just curiosity, I still learn everyday

Re: indicators and headlight need help
Yes, your ACreg will allow around 16V(ac), it's why you best stick to filament globes.
Also, don't wire the headlight so it can go Off (ie always On), as it's the biggest consumer and will smooth-off the supply to the rest of the bike. It's not for nothing that H didn't mount a switch....
