Hi all

Last Friday I had the day off work and the sun was out so I took the XR out to play in the mud and on the way home realised that mine is 16 years old bike and she actually still goes pretty well.

So happy birthday to the XR650R and Honda should have continued to produce and updated it  Frustrated .

Happy Birthday, mines 14 this year some time....need to check log book to make sure. I went out on mine last weekend just for a short spin to see if the clutch lift arm seal I had fitted was no longer leaking....looking good so far. Not 100% sure what I would change if I could maybe like another gear, softer seat and spokes that don't tarnish within 3.4 seconds lol

I would want another gear and electric start but keep the kick starter in case the battery went flat.

Ditto Apple,

it would make this bike absolutely perfect, especially then when the gearbox would be a WR!
Oh, plus a fan on the radiator as standard.
Oh wait, and a bit more substantial subframe, for those wanting to carry luggage.
Hmm, a USD fork perhaps?
LED lights?
Heated grips?
Lord forbid, indicators maybe?

Well, yeah, I've been getting softer during the past 16 years wanting heated grips now etc, but I am very glad about one thing...... nobody has mentioned tassles yet!
