What does the XR650R need?
Focker: Please feel free to move this as I really didn't know where to put it?
Fellow BRP owners: Dual Sport Armory is trying to brainstorm about coming up with something to make/machine for the BRP. Something that has not necessarily been created yet. I hate to use the term "farkle"....but you know like a farkle.
Without pre-tainting the pool please give your 2 cents about what our already perfect bikes need? The skies the limit! Thanks for any help.

I know it's not machined but bolt on plastic fork guards would be sweet.

Re: What does the XR650R need?
Stand alone decompressor lever bracket that you can mount anywhere when using an aftermarket clutch perch and you dont want a combined unit. (right side or left side).

Re: What does the XR650R need?
Some form of BIG radiator guard, like a piece on angle iron that bolts on under the bottom of the rods to stop the caving in/moving back.
I've got the acerbis sahara tank supports, and some rad braces, but a couple og pounds of iron would make me feel better!
We get an extra metal bit that runs under the rear light, good for enough "xr" luggage - 3/4 days easy.

Hey guys, some of your "I wants" are already available.
Acerbis makes a plastic fork guard for the XR400 that will work with a small modification.

The XR250R has a seperate decomp lever that should work on the 650R either left or right side. I also thought about using a hot start lever setup like from Dubach or Works Connection. I am nor sure why you need a decomp lever though. I dont use mine...ever.
Heavy duty clutch cover cover.

Wolfman luggage has come up with dual sport specific soft luggage. No mounts needed. Combined with the Enduro tool kit, you have a lot of storage space! You can get them from .....Me. www.dualsportarmory.com for $117 shipped

I'm sorry...I want lower guards.
Re: What does the XR650R need?
Me too...instead I wound up buying these sticker-type guards for $9.99 (I couldn't find anyone that still stocked the old XR400 lower guards the would've fit)...I'll post to show once I get them in and judge them:

I'm partial to the big obvious ones like the dirt bikes use. Here they are on Pikkos' converted fork setup.

I just kick through until I find TDC and BAM. I have a Edelbrock on the bike, but dont think that matters.
