I am a snowbird. The dirt bikes are down in AZ. So, I will be not be on the 650R and CR500. They will be taking a nap until November. Next spring would work!
I am going to port and tweak the CR500 for another 10 to 15 horsepower.
The XRR will get a pumper carb, maybe a cam and related gears and cam chain. Then inspect and grease all bearing.

CR500? Awesome.
Only time I look to AZ for riding is in dead of winter. Usually do So. NM at that time. Do you ride summer months? Where? Early spring in North NM is usually snow//mud and most forests in North NM don't open until May.

It looks so dry
thanks.
+1
New Mexico is typically arid where the high desert meets the Rockies mtn range. Riding elevation typically ranges from 6000 to 11,000 ft, with terrain going from red rocky high mtn desert to pine forests. I live at 7000 ft in elevation. However, we're (and the entire Rockies region) are under a drought the last few years. Not enough snow pack and federal restrictions on riding areas are starting to kick in because of the forest fire threat.

Yep plenty of riders across the state. Here is a forum with riders in NM:
NMDualSport.org
I live up north, but ride down there in late fall and winter when it gets too cold.
I'll PM youo when I know of a group ride down there.

That looks like Cloud Croft area! I cant wait to get out and ride!!
I need to get my bike in to a shop for the shift fork deal. I dont have the tools to do it properly and dont want to hack it.I found a local guy who might be able to performe surgery on the pig, and I trust him! He has a small engine shop, and I have used him on my racing mower. Ill hit him up this week.

AtomicXR your posts are the ones I look forward to the most. I love that part of the country. One of these days I'm gonna haul my XRR and KDX out there for a week's riding.
Thanks for the great videos!
