XR650R Reverse Shift Pattern?
So doing the race track stuff I've gotten very fond of the reverse shift pattern (UP into first, DOWN for second etc...) It has taken me a while to get used to but its second nature now and I don't want to switch back if at all possible. That'll make it super lame when I go racing. Its already going to be rough going from riding the BRP to a Superbike for the day.
Would there be a way to do it internally maybe? Put something in backwards perhaps? I really don't know. I've looked at what it will take to make a linkage shift system and that, is very unappealing...
Any insight on how to get it done?

Couldn't see it being possible to do internally....spend your time coming up with a trick external linkage system, maybe buy something off ebay from another bike and have a go yourself ?.

I spoke with some people yesterday that have experience inside the case and they said go with a linkage too. BUT, a buddy of mine came over (he's trying to find an XR to buy too) and we did the traditional beer and brainstorm. I've got to do some CAD work but I think we figured out a very simple, robust (no worse than stock anyway) and above all sessy looking linkage system.

I have the same thing (use reverse shift on the track all the time - TERRIBLE time remembering to do street shift when on the track).
Wondering if you made any progress?
