New 01 XR650R Owner

Greetings all,  thought I'd drop a note, I am a new (sort of) XR owner - I owned an early 600R years ago, and did some extensive maintenance projects to it , but recently acquired a very clean 01 650R.  I am moving from the Colorado Rockies to southern Baja California later this summer, and figured I ought to have the right ride for the trip, so here we go! 

I'll be posting some questions about setup, etc soon enough, but for now, just glad to have another XR.  The one I got was modded with ProValve Suspension, has a Scotts Steering stabilizer, a fin protector on the rear brake and a case saver by the front sprocket.  Has new tires, new chain and sprockets, came with a spare desert tank and all the take-off parts, plus some spare lights so I'm pretty pleased with my purchase (my wife isn't as impressed).
