UK 650R meet and camp
Just a tentative "lets see", how many people would be interested in meeting up for a weekend, camping, just to chew the fat and have a ride out and some beers?
location arrived at dependent on who is interested, time to be decided but spring/summer, tents only, no B&B bollox.
Though I am very aware that making something like this happen for a widely dispersed and no doubt eclectic bunch of bikers is a bit like getting a Politician to actually answer a question, I thought I would just throw the idea out there for you good people to mull over during this orrible weather............
I am up for it.

Sadly no way of getting there...running on knobblies & 13~50 gearing makes anything above 50 terrible....went to Barmouth on the XJR1300 last year if that counts lol...

Re: UK 650R meet and camp
tentatively count me in,
I cant do the 1-4 and 28 - 31 may, and would need decent notice to possibly juggle work nonsense about.
miles...shound be able to handle a lot due to my new plush seat
that is assuming old Bertha doesn't blow a gasket/piston etc.

Stout fellows..........we only need a few to make a beer run
Location wise, I am in Wales but free to travel most anywhere on the mainland (Ireland is tricky for me)
I'll keep checking back on thread, and if/when we get a few firms to make it we can discuss dates and places
cheers, Lads

Great idea and I would be up for it depending on dates.
I'm new to the forum, although been browsing here for a little while, so this would be a great way to meet some of you lot.
My new to me XR is under wraps in the garage at the moment keeping company with my other bikes while the weather is so grim
I've travelled to quite a few bike related meetings over recent years. Don't want to but in on an any people who might be making plans for this event but from the places I've stayed I can thoroughly recommend the following 2 venues. They both offer good value bunkhouses and camping, although the Green Dragon also has the advantage of being a cracking pub!

I'd be up for meeting some other XR owners, it would be a first for me!
i'm in SW london, so Wales is doable.

I think Mauser - not me, mind, besides, you asked me not to comment! - once said "I told you so!".
Just to be clear, so it's him commenting here, not me........
Uh, erm, Madder, the grapevine told me you've been seen perusing the smalls, apparently looking for a 650 fourstroke single offroad bike?

Re: UK 650R meet and camp
We need to decide on the location , preferably in the middle that people from south and scotland dont have to suffer too much
