XR650R / XR650L confusion
My mate owns a bike shop with an offroad workshop, he races nationals MX and it took him a whole year to realize that the XR650R I ride is not the same as an XR650L. For a year I have been telling him it is a competition bike designed for desert racing and he has been telling me it is a dual sport - Finally he realized today when I told him neither the tank or the exhaust he bought in for a clients XR650L would fit on my bike
Oh, that and the fact there was an XR650L parked next to my XR650R

Not to mention the R is liquid cooled while the L is air cooled! I cant imagine how some people could confuse the two!

Front wheel bearings and seals are the same - Not the axle, wheel, speedo drive or brake disc
