First oil change - no oil to be seen in inspection hole
Filled first 1L of oil on stand and last 600 ml with bike upright, see the manual instructions are to do the whole lot with the bike upright Had it sitting level upright for 10 mins but could not see any oil level with the bottom of the oil level inspection hole.
Just trying to work out if need to add more oil and what is actually happening with having to have the bike upright on level ground when filling - "Take it" there is an oil circuit that goes through the frame and then cycles through to the crankcase ? (Two drain screws just to drain oil trapped in frame and crankcase ?)
Cheers

Not sure what hole you are looking at.
To check the oil you have to go through a process.
Here is How Boyrnack does it, and it works for me:
For checking oil I ride the bike for 5+ minutes. (not just idle it but, ride it after warm up) Then I check the oil and it should be about 3/4 of full on the dip stick. This is only if you have about 1.75 quarts of oil in the bike. If you have more it takes quite a bit to move it to full due to the pressure it take to pump the extra into the frame. 2 quarts will read just above full and at this point you are starting to apply to much lower end pressure to the seals. I believe the bike was designed for 2 quarts but, that was found to make to much pressure and Honda reduced how much oil was to be used. They didn't change the dip stick marks to show the change.

Re: First oil change - no oil to be seen in inspection hole
As Mamacon says, you need to check the oil level straight after it has been running for at least 5 min otherwise some of the oil drains down into the sump and you will over fill it.

Re: First oil change - no oil to be seen in inspection hole
Cheers guys, was wondering why I could see no oil level with the inspection hole after putting in 1.6L after an oil change. All sorted now !
Seen in manual there's 200 mls of oil trapped when an oil change is done. (200 mls more added on new/rebuild)
Interesting about the dipstick not reading right and your tips.
