Dip stick length?

Hello Gang,

Can anyone tell me how to check my oil level without a proper dipstick please?

Or the dimensions involved so I can measure down from the top of the filler hole. I was thinking of mocking something up with a screwdriver or something until I can find a new one...

Thanks for the link, I appreciate that. I'm in the UK, but hopefully I can get one pretty quick, but in the meantime, I have no way of checking my level without knowing how far the marks are down from the top of the filler hole.

Any chance you could measure your marks for empty and full from the top of the filler, please?
