New BRP owner from UK
Hi all, I was called by a friend who told me he knew of a XR650 which was due to be scrapped and if I wanted it I could have it for a bargain price. I've always liked the BRP and a project bike would suit me fine as due to some health issues I can't ride for the next few months.
The bike cosmetically is not to my liking but maintenance wise it's in very good condition. There is a wiring fault causing cutout at around 90 degrees and 5th gear has a problem. I will be spending some money to get it right but looking forward to it. At the price I paid along with the extras thrown in like sat nav etc it's almost a free bike.
I live just 100m from the Fosseway so hope to be able to use it to play there soon.
I'm pretty much been out of motorbikes for a while but hoping the BRP will get me back in the saddle
